people couldn't get much dumber I saw THIS LETTER (Our Energy Needs) in today's Herald Journal.

I am sick and tired of these environmentalists hindering and stopping economic progress (offshore drilling, oil refineries, etc.) to save Mother Earth, spotted owls, grizzly bears and whatever else needs their attention. I certainly agree that we must take care of our surroundings, but we do not put Earth first! We put people first!

He's angry because someone wants "to save Mother Earth"?!?!?! Ummmmmmmmmmm…the last time I checked PEOPLE need the EARTH. Don't we? Maybe I missed something.

We all laughed at the ignorance of this guy all day but it ain't funny. It is incredibly sad that people lack the basic intelligence to see the importance of each of us adopting new means of conservation to protect the interests of future generations. This yahoo thinks my children should suffer because he's not smart enough to alter the way he uses energy? Or that my children should suffer in the name of his shallow minded ideal of 'economic growth"?

Think again buddy. He tells environmentalists to "take a long walk off a short pier." I won't type what I think he should do because it is not very nice. I"m just glad he's of a dying breed.
